EVOQUEFIT • WORKSHOP ESSENTIALS

Transfer an uneven edge onto your workpiece before cutting.

This is a marking tool. Cutting requires a separate suitable tool. Check the pencil is firmly held and maintain the same angle while tracing.

DESIGNED AROUND THE TASK

Bring the contour to the pencil line

Uneven edges can be difficult to measure point by point. A scribing tool lets you follow the reference surface while the pencil transfers its shape onto your workpiece. The adjustable pencil carrier and two guide ends make the setup easier to match to the edge you are tracing.

01

Adjust the pencil position

Slide the pencil carrier to establish the offset you need, then lock it before tracing. A moving pencil can change the line midway through a pass.

02

Follow with the wheel

The wheel end can roll along a suitable edge while the pencil marks the adjacent surface. Keep the tool angle consistent throughout the pass.

03

Reach with the pointer

Use the pointer end where its shape fits the reference contour better. Check that it can follow the entire path without catching.

04

Lock, trace and check

Tighten the pencil lock, try the movement on an offcut and confirm the line before making a permanent cut.

WHERE IT FITS

For fitting trim, panels and flooring edges

Use it to mark around an uneven edge or transfer a profile during a fitting project. Access, pencil reach and surface shape determine which guide end works best. It marks a line; it does not cut or measure an internal angle.

Application images illustrate tool use. Workpieces and power tools are not included.

Questions before you start

Is this a cutting tool?

No. It transfers a contour as a pencil line. Use an appropriate separate cutting tool and check the fit gradually.

Why does my line change as I move?

Check whether the pencil carrier is loose or the tool angle is changing. Maintain steady guide contact and test the setup on scrap.

Which end should I use?

Choose the wheel or pointer according to the access and contour. Try the movement along the full edge before marking the workpiece.

What should I check before starting?

This is a marking tool. Cutting requires a separate suitable tool. Check the pencil is firmly held and maintain the same angle while tracing. Wear eye protection and follow the instructions for your power tool.
